Karin Marleen Dijkstra is an artist who draws inspiration from music, mythologies, fairy tales, and especially from the power and delicacy of nature. She seeks to capture fragile, fleeting experiences of beauty, memory, and stillness. Karin is Dutch-American and has lived in the Netherlands, South Africa, Switzerland, Scotland, and England, and she draws from the cultures and landscapes of those places. She is a graduate of Vassar College and currently lives in Swampscott, Massachusetts.
